Bukit Lawang
Bukit Lawang is a tourist Village in Northern Sumatra. Nearby on Lawang mountain an Orangutan rehabilitation center operatied from 1973 until 2002.
In 2003 a flash flood (caused by illegal logging) literally swept the town away. They have since rebuilt as best they could.
Before the flood there were 8 bridges spanning the river
